Kelp, and its derivatives, have long been
regarded as an important nutrient for agricultural
purposes in European countries, since the time of christ.
Kelp works as a fertilizer because it contains the three "primary nutrients"
-nitrogen, phosphoric acid, and potash. These all act together to
make soil healthy and fertile.
Kelp lives in the ocean and feeds on all the fertile elements that flow
to the ocean from the land.
When Soil erosion occurs, the nutrients found in the soil eventually seep
into the sea, from which kelp gets its nourishment. In reality, all you
are doing is replenishing the soil with its own nutrients that were lost
through soil erosion. It is a recycling of nature, with no chemicals
or additives to ensure that you are not harming the earth still further.
